These banners celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jewish Studies Program at Cornell University.
The program studies and teaches Jewish cultures both ancient and modern, and aims to attract not just Jewish students but also those outside the community. For these reasons, I choose as inspiration objects that are meaningful in the Jewish culture such as the menorah and dreidel, but with a modern, almost abstract twist.
